Welcome to Vision Development Center of NJ
Vision Development Center of NJ is a leader in Neuro-Optometry offering the NJ and NY Metropolitan area exceptional expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of vision disorders that can interfere with academic performance, behavior and other activities we perform throughout our lives. In addition, we provide Optometric Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation for children and adults.
Vision involves more than being able to see the letters on the eye chart clearly; it is the ability to understand and respond to what is seen. We are focused on rehabilitating and enhancing our patient’s visual function by offering cutting edge therapies that build and strengthen the neuro-vision pathways between the brain and eyes.
We look forward to helping you and your loved ones remove any visual obstacles to achieving their goals. Whether the goals are to succeed in school and work, recover from a head injury interfering with vision, excel in athletics, or to reduce symptoms caused by visual problems and improve quality of life –we are here to help!
The Vision Development Center Provides:
Functional Vision Evaluations
A Functional Vision Evaluation is designed to evaluate all the visual skills we need to function throughout our lives. This evaluation is for those with, but not limited to, the following, most common, conditions:
Developmental and Functional Vision Evaluations for all ages
While we specialize in working with children, adults often have similar vision problems, and we are happy to help. There is no age limit.
Treatment of Learning-Related Vision Problems
There are 17 visual skills required for reading & learning. Problems with any of these skills can often be mistaken for learning disabilities, dyslexia or attention problems.
Visual Rehabilitation for Patients with Special Needs
Children with Special Needs and Abilities have the same vision problems as neuro-typical children. Vision problems in these patients are often overlooked.
Sports Vision Training
Our visual skills play a vital role in our ability to successfully play sports. Vision training can help athletes of all ages to improve your sports vision skills providing you with that competitive edge.
